It all started with a dream — to work in cinema. Coming from a small village in Mahendergarh, Haryana, the film industry seemed like a distant galaxy. But destiny had other plans.
The Call
In 2021, I got my first opportunity to work in Bollywood as an Assistant Art Director for the film 1600 Meter under OM Kaushik Films. It was a leap of faith — leaving the comfort of familiar surroundings to step into the chaotic, creative world of filmmaking.
What I Learned
Working as an Assistant Art Director taught me more than just set design. It taught me:
- Collaboration — Every frame is a team effort
- Attention to detail — The smallest prop can tell the biggest story
- Adaptability — Plans change, but creativity finds a way
- Resilience — Long hours, tight budgets, but the result is worth it
The Bridge Between Worlds
People often ask: “How does a Computer Science student end up in Bollywood?” The answer is simple — curiosity. I’ve always believed that art and technology are not opposites; they’re two sides of the same coin.
